Manifesto

Why nada
exists.

Most social apps are designed to keep you scrolling. nada is designed to do the opposite — one question a week, both of you answer before either of you sees the other's reply, then you decide together whether to talk.

nada fake, nada shallow,
just meaningful connections.

You've probably noticed it: the more time you spend on social media, the more alone you feel. That's not a coincidence — it's how these platforms are designed. Likes, followers, and infinite scroll exist to hold your attention, not to help you connect.

nada works differently. There is no feed, no algorithm, no follower count, no compatibility score. The product is one moment, repeated weekly.

Every Monday, the same question lands for everyone near you. You write what you actually think. You browse other people's answers — people in your city, sitting with the same prompt. If something resonates, you send a vibe-check. They write back, you both wait, and the two answers reveal at the same moment. Nobody reads ahead.

After the reveal, both sides decide: connect, or walk away. There's no penalty either way. When both choose connect, the chat opens. When one walks, the other never sees it happen.

The result is quieter and slower than what you're used to — and that's the point. Less noise. More signal. Fewer conversations, but the ones that happen are the ones you both chose, twice.

nada is built and hosted in the European Union, and we don't sell data, run ads, or score users. There's no engagement metric we're optimising you for, because there's no engagement metric. The only thing nada is trying to do is make it easier to meet someone real.

How it works

One question. Both of you. At the same moment.

Three deliberate moments — the prompt, the answer, the reveal. Nothing in between is for ranking, scoring, or speed.

1

The question lands

Every Monday, the same prompt arrives for everyone near you. Sit with it. Write what you actually think — not what reads well.

2

Both of you answer

Browse what other people in your city wrote. Send a vibe-check on one that resonates. They write back to the same question — neither side sees the other's answer yet.

3

The reveal

Both answers fade in together. You read each other for the first time. Then both of you decide — connect, or walk. Chat only opens when both choose.

What's inside

Everything real connection needs. Nothing it doesn't.

No feed, no follower count, no algorithmic ranking. Just a weekly question, a way to say "this one resonated", and a chat that opens when both of you mean it.

A question every Monday

The same prompt for everyone near you, all week. Sit with it. Answer when you're ready. Nothing pings you to hurry.

Nearby, not everywhere

Only people in your city. Approximate location only — your exact coordinates are never stored or shown.

Both yeses, or nothing

A vibe-check, not a swipe-right. You both answer the same question first; chat unlocks only when both of you choose to connect. Either side can walk silently.

A chat that holds focus

Pin a single question to a chat for 14 days at a time. Share a short noticing — what's true for you right now. The conversation stays about something.

Activities

Create or join real-world things — sports, meetups, dinners. Request, get approved, show up. Real life, on purpose.

Quiet notifications

Alerts only when something actually happens to you. No streaks, no nudges, no engagement bait dressed up as a friend.

It should feel slower.
That's the whole idea.
